Carlos has 22 years of experience in Banking, and spent 5 of which as the CEO of one of Mozambique’s Top Five banks.
He is a seasoned manager of people, operations, products and services. He is also experienced in enterprise risk management and carries strong ability in the preparation and analysis of financial reports.
In addition to his background in leading numerous external auditing projects with utmost integrity, Mr. Nhamahango is highly proficient in the design of business strategy, budgeting, and reporting to the Central Bank of Mozambique.

He has profound knowledge of the Mozambican landscape and has actively participated in the monitoring and development of many MSMEs, with great focus on the elaboration of business plans.

Involved in MSME finance for more than 20 years, Detulio’s experience covers senior management positions in financial institutions (including as member of managerial boards), as well as short and long-term consultancies in countries such as Mozambique, Liberia, Zambia, as well as Eastern European and Latin American Markets.
In the last years, he has delved into the Guarantee business sector for financial institutions, which provides them the access to finance to MSMEs in developing and challenging markets such as Afghanistan.
Mr. Fumo has also been working on the implementation of some key government projects funded by international development organizations. He is passionate about capacity building, and has trained credit/business staff from entry level up to middle management.
